The school was founded in 1991 and specializes in the teaching of English to foreigners. It welcomes participants from around the world for a period of two weeks to several months. Most of them are European.

It is located outside the city centre of Cape Town, in a quiet area.

It has 6 classrooms for courses, with desks a blackboard, audio-visual equipment, a reception, a kitchen and a meeting room.

South Africa language stay globalongThe teaching is based on “Total English”, “Cambridge” and “Headway” methods. Course books are included in our rates, and you can keep them at the end of your stay.

All teachers are graduates of English and specialize in teaching foreigners.

Their mission is to guide, assist and help students to make their stay in South Africa as pleasant and interesting as possible while improving their language skills.

 

Accommodation and activities in South Africa !

Housing in South Africa:

Sortie au Parc - Globalong

All host families are English and live near the school. You can get there on foot or use public transport. Families have been carefully chosen and are used to hosting foreigners.

You will be part of the lives of these families, and they will definitely invite you  to participate in activities and outings. If you are allergic to animals, or if you follow a specific diet (vegetarian etc.), be sure to specify this when registering.

Breakfasts and dinners are served at the host family. Lunch is not included in our rates. In general, students have lunch together and take the opportunity to explore the surroundings.

The language school is closed from December 15 to January 18.

During your leisure time you can explore the country. Among the places you could visit are:

  • The Drakensberg Mountains - the mountains are popular for hiking, fishing, climbing or horse riding
  • The beaches - Durban with its luxury hotels, markets, amusement parks or Eastern Cape with its wild beaches
