Local time in Bogota:
Volunteering programmes in Colombia start on Mondays. Airport pick up at Bogota's El Dorado Airport will be organised on the Saturday prior to the start of your programme. The small city where your project placement takes place is only a two hours drive away from the capital city of Bogota.
All of the volunteering project locations are close to each other. You could opt for a teaching or a social volunteering programme. You will take part in an induction day where you will discover your project site, the city, places of interest, shops, ATMs, etc.
Your Colombian host family:
Volunteers will stay with a host family but will have their own bungalow (shared rooms with 2 volunteers per room).
Bungalows are equiped with showers (hot water available). You will be able to use a washing machine once a week.
