A volunteer program is an exceptional opportunity to discover a country, its culture and the incredible generosity of it's people.
Join our team in Nepal for 3 to 12 weeks and learn about the Nepalese lifestyle and culture.
Philippe et Théo have made a great video of their volunteering period:

The programme in Nepal :
The volunteer placements start every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month and last for between 3 and 12 weeks. You will be met at the airport in Kathmandu the day before.
So that culture shock is not too overwhelming, we organize an induction week, which includes learning vocabulary and Nepali culture.
This will hopefully help you avoid any awkwardness with the population.
You will also be informed about your volunteer assignment, accommodation, living conditions and other important information.
The coordinator will always be available in case of doubts or questions.
The Induction Week :
If you take part in the volunteer programme in Nepal, you will receive comprehensive information about the country, the placement and advice before you set off.
If you wish, you can book a trek organized by professionals when you register. Of course you can also wait for your arrival in Nepal to make the reservation.
Chitwan National Park (95 €) 3 days / 2 nights
All volunteers can take part in this tour, which lasts for 3 days leaving from Kathmandu. There is a departure every day, so you can drive to Chitwan during the first week in Kathmandu, or book one of your weekends during your volunteering time.
The tour lasts for 3 days and 2 nights. You will catch a tourist bus from Kathmandu at 7am, arriving at the Park at 14:30.
You will visit the museum and attend a traditional Tharu dance in the evening, followed by dinner.
You will stay overnight at the "Safari Club" hotel. The next morning you will get up early to travel on elephants into the park! Upon your return to the hotel, you will be served breakfast at 9am.
Then you can see the elephants bathing and then back for lunch at noon.
During the afternoon you can go canoeing and visit the elephant breeding centre, or choose other activities.
You will have dinner in the evening.
On the third day, you will eat your breakfast at 8 am, before returning to Kathmandu at 9am.

Chitwan Park was created in 1973 to preserve a unique ecosystem extremely valuable to the world. The park covers 932 square kilometres and is located in the subtropical part of the interior plains of the Terai in the south-central Nepal. Since 1984, the park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Accommodation depends on the programme you choose:
During your induction week in Nepal, you will be accommodated in an apartment in Kathmandu with other participants on the 2nd floor of a house located in a quiet street, close to public transports and to the neighbourhood store.
You will stay in a shared living-room equipped with a few beds or in one of the two bedrooms that you will share with others international participants.
A bathroom is also at your disposal as well as a small terrace and a secured rooftop from where you can admire the city of Kathmandu.
You will take your meals in the flat above yours and have free access to the WIFI at the accommodation.
After the induction week, you will stay in this accommodation if you choose the medical programme or the English teaching programme for Buddhists monks. If you join another programme, you may stay with a host family or at your work placement.
Volunteers taking part in the volunteering programme at an orphanage in Pokhara will stay with a host family.
There are 3 shared bedrooms (2 volunteers per room) and a shared bathroom (hot water available).
You will have full board (3 meals per day) and will share your meals with fellow volunteers on your project site, only 5 minutes away from your accommodation.
You can take coffee or tea breaks on your project site.
You will have Internet access (WIFI) both on your project site or at your host family's.
