In Thailand, you can help disadvantaged children, follow the Buddhist monks’ daily life or teach English through our volunteer programmes.
Thailand is a very popular destination but is suffering from mass tourism.
No experience is required to become a volunteer in Thailand and the local team will make sure your integration in the country goes well.

Jenna, one of our volunteers, shares a video of a day volunteering in Thailand:
The volunteer program begins every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. You will be met at Bangkok International Airport and will be driven to the volunteer’s apartment in Ayutthaya.
To avoid culture shock, we organize a one day introduction course where you will learn basic vocabulary and find out about the culture and customs of the country, which will save you any awkwardness among the population.
You will also be given information about your volunteer assignment, accommodation, living conditions, climate, the lifestyle of Buddhists and other important details. The coordinator will always be available for you in case of doubts or questions.
You will have a few hours of lessons and you will also participate in a guided tour of the city, Wat Phra Ram Wat Choeng Phanong and other points of interest.
If you choose to participate in the volunteer program in Thailand, you will receive a comprehensive guide to the country and the mission, with tips and information before you leave.
You will have 3 meals a day from Monday to Friday, mostly traditional Thai dishes. During the weekend, volunteers often go on tour, and for this reason weekend lunches are not included.
You will stay in a guesthouse for volunteers or with a host family according to where your placement is.
In Thailand, the toilets are often located outside the houses, except in recent buildings, which have adopted the Western style.
Most host families have running water, electricity, and often a TV and a radio. In general, we try to provide our volunteers with a single room with a fan.
We recommend that you bring a mosquito net, because you'll probably want to keep the windows open. There is no need to bring a sleeping bag.
Host families are trained to receive foreign volunteers, and normally at least one member of the family speaks English.
